About Us

The Workshop is one of the largest independent providers of staff catering in Scotland. First established in 1995, The Workshop has 20 years of experience in the provision of high quality, in-house catering facilities.

In 2002, The Workshop underwent a management buy-out and now services 30 client sites, including a number of multi-site contracts, serving over 20,000 customers a day and employing more than 150 members of staff.

The Workshop is passionate about providing healthy and nutritious meals to our clients and we are committed to sourcing the very best fresh produce, using local suppliers where possible.

This has enabled The Workshop to secure 15 healthyliving awards across various sites in Scotland, showcasing our commitment to providing healthy food, and offering further confidence to customers.

Recognising the importance of quality and choice, we also provide various high street brands through our Starbucks and Costa franchises and offer a range of pre-packed sandwich including, ‘Scottish Slimmers’, and ‘Be good to yourself’.

Uniquely, we are the only catering firm to offer a range of sandwiches and salads from one of Aberdeen’s most popular sandwich shop, Prego.

It is our philosophy to reduce client subsidies by increasing staff usage of our catering facilities. At all of our clients’ sites we achieved this with fantastic results and, in some cases, have increased turnover by over 100%.
